Jack Koenka has a B. Math (University of Waterloo) and a B. Ed (University of Toronto). He has taught high school mathematics for 27 years. The first 18 years he taught at Upper Canada College in Toronto, including seven years as the head of department. He was also the head of the Mathematics Department at Havergal College for nine years, where he taught AP Calculus, achieving excellent results for his students. Jack Koenka received a Descartes Medal for Outstanding Teaching awarded by the University of Waterloo in 2004. He was also on the Cayley Contest Committee, developing problems for the Canadian Mathematics Competitions. Jack recently returned from teaching at Robert College in Istanbul. He now works at Ryerson University. Roger Allen, educated in Great Britain, Canada and the U.S.A. has taught mathematics for over 40 years at the high school and university level. He holds a B.A. (University of Victoria) and M. A. (Duke) and taught for 22 years at Upper Canada College where he was head of the Mathematics Department for ten years. He has also taught at United World Colleges in the U.S.A. and Africa. He has very wide experience of teaching AP Calculus both AB and BC. Currently, he teaches mathematics at Havergal College, Toronto under the leadership of Jack Koenka with whom, using this textbook, he has achieved truly excellent exam results for his students.
