My God... noooo! she screamed, as the screeching of metals and squealing tires from the truck, which now loomed only inches away from her face came into view; survive she must!

About the Author:

Adonica Marjorie Dunn was born in the little village of Glendevon, Jamaica West Indies. She migrated twenty-four years ago to the United States with fourteen Jamaican dollars and the unquenchable desire to attain her dream to someday become published as a writer. Adonica, worked for the better part of her twenty-four years in America as a healthcare provider. She obtained her higher education in New York City. The American Poetry Guild first published her as a poet in 1989. She was selected as one of their best Poets two years in a row, 2004 and 2005. She also was given the editor's choice award twice for her creative writing on those two occasions. Many of Adonica's poems can be found in several Poetry anthologies. In the year 2004 she became published world wide as a poet. Into the Twilight of Her Dawn is her first full-length story. In 2000 she self published a book of poetry in Florida titled The Wings of My Soul. Adonica's passion for life is captured and celebrated in her paintings, poetry and other literary works. This is the beginning of her engaging literary expressions in story telling, which has always been her first love. Adonica's ability to indulge and pursue this passion of hers has been fulfilling. Her hope is to inspire and evoke emotions, which will ultimately lead to the better good of others, such as the protagonist Deedee Wattley, in her story Into the Twilight of Her Dawn.
