About the Author:
After three years in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II, Edward S. Heyman majored in Journalism and later studied law and qualified for the California State Bar examination. By then he was the owner of a successful marketing company and decided the business world was where he would stay. He met his only love, Adele, at College in 1947. They married, and during the next fifty-eight years (still counting) traveled and toured most of the North American continent and much of Europe and the Pacific while they raised two sons. Ed and Adele owned, raced and cruised sailboats for twenty years. The photograph on this website shows their final boat named YKnot? that gave them an additional seven years on the water. Sail to a Future and An Untitled Sail originated from those sailing years. Some sailing scenes in his novels are distortions of real experiences during their own sailing years. These days Edward S. Heyman continues to write novels that voice his political! and philosophical point of view of America today and his thoughts of the future. He is an avid golfer, swims twice a week year round, and he and Adele enjoy their children and grandchildren.
