The strengths of this proposal is that it will give students better training in culinary improversation, problem solving and flavor and palate development. There are no perceived weaknesses in the proposal at this time. We would most likely institute this text.
I like the idea of the book and the pedagogical principles employed. I was excited and curious when I looked at this proposal. I like the idea of thinking out of the box in a text and was interested in what the author aimed to accomplish. I like how the book addresses not just culinary skills, but also social skills. The focus of the skills is what I consider the greatest strength in this proposal. I also believe the ideas and philosophy behind the book have merit.
The author has put together some very interesting ideas and approaches to methodology. The proposed text would make class such a joy to teach. I would not delete or add anything to the table of contents. The three strengths of this proposal are: A direct tie in to team building of fellow team members, an apparent fun learning process for students, and the direct relationship between the exercises and valuable lessons learned. I think the content is important and the methodology is well done. I would create a class around this material.
