9781420889635: Husbands Love Your Wives Wives Be Good To Your Husbands: The Two Foundational Pillars Of A Successful Marriage

This book on "Marriage" challenges many of the modern day stereotypes being brandished around by secular humanistic philosophy in an age where this sacred institution is under seige by sinister forces which seeks to rob the union of its validity, pre-eminence and social cohesiveness within contemporary society and moreso within the Church of Jesus Christ. The thrust of the discourse is primarily aimed at and challenges Church leaders, Christians married couples, potential life partners contemplating marriage to take another serious look at what marriage really entails. The reasons are numerous and would defy explanation but clearly evidenced in the modern-day breakdown of the family structure, the dumming down of societal moral standards and the adoption of liberalised spiritual attitudes on the part of religious institutions has resulted in the flux, fragmentation and failure of marriages, family life and the emotional/spiritual solidarity which ought to exist amongst us and our young people.

About the Author:

Terence M. Blackett is an academic. As a Political Sociologist with a strong Christian faith and ethic, he has crossed over into writing a deeply inspirational book on marriage which will prove thought provoking for Christian men and women, Christian leaders, diverse ethnic groups and many others who are moved to know more of God's will in this troublesome institution called marriage. He is married to Wendy and has two grown daughters, Nia-Tesa and Nadira. The Author currently resides in the United Kingdom with his family where he writes editorial pieces for newspapers dealing with moral areas of social commentary. His work as a speaker, teacher, commentator and gifted writer sets the stage for the Lord to do great things through him and the work God has placed upon him as a burden for the lost.He is one of the non-executive founding members of Families United Together in Christ (FUTIC), a registered non-profit organisation based in Virginia Beach, Virginia that works to empower families by providing a range of secular, business and spiritual opportunities to get people out of poverty. The Author is also a covenant founding member of Brotherly Love Ministries in Virginia Beach, and is the international outreach facilitator for the UK division of the ministry. He is also a member of The Association of Christian Writers.
