Elizabeth (Beth) Copeland is coming home today, after five years as an in-patient at the Meadow View Sanitarium just outside Roanoke, Virginia, recuperating mentally after the tragic death of her eight-year-old daughter. This should be the beginning of a new and happy life for her. Her husband, David, however, has spent the last few years contemplating his life without Beth permanently. Since Beth is the sole inheritor of a multimillion-dollar estate, divorce is not an option. With the help of Beth's best friend and his mistress, Elaina Marshall, who has her own issues trying to hold together a marriage with her paraplegic war veteran husband, Richard, he plots and begins his strategic plans to send mentally vulnerable Beth completely over the edge once and for all. Desire, lust and murder take center stage as Beth's return becomes less and less like a happy homecoming.
