ALBERTA BEACH is a collection of poems that tells of my life’s experiences, observations and hopes as seen through my eyes and my heart. Through each of these poems I touch upon the range of human emotion and common experiences. There are poems of love and loss, pain and humor, philosophy and nonsense, defeat and triumph. While there is no central theme tying these poems together, there are central elements. All are written with honesty—sometimes brutal, compassion, and at times, criticism, not only of myself but also of the events that I have observed. These poems are what I have seen in my life up to this point, what I’m seeing now and some are what I hope to see and experience in my future. They are who I am and deal with the emotions, events and everyday things that have molded me into what I have become today.
