Thoughts from a Southpaw is partially a compilation of baseball poems, poetry of the game per se, that are visions of how the game is or should be played, stories of personal experiences, perceptions of the "heroes" of the game and issues, present and past, surrounding the grand game of baseball. There are thirty-three baseball poems in all, composed at various times over the past few years. In addition to "poetic discussions" on the game of baseball, there are two additional chapters reflecting "thoughts" on family, fellowship and country. This book is a reflection of what the author values most in life, the ability to enjoy our livelihood and the things that matter around us. It is a book of short stories written in rhyme that are intended to provoke thought and perhaps even memories of your own!
