This book is about love, strength and coping with challenges. Life presents many challenges whether it is through a marital union, work, family, neighbors, church, etc. As we take our place in this life, we must prepare ourselves for what might come our way. However, if we are not prepared, we must learn to cope with what is presented. Through my marital union, I learned the strength of true love. As a child growing up in the 1940's, I learned to cope with the racial disparities and prejudices against black people.

Autobiography I was born in 1932 in Plainfield, New Jersey. Since the age of two, I have lived in Charlottesville, Virginia and was cared for primarily by my grandparents. As a teenager, I attended Jefferson High School and graduated in 1950. At the age of 15, I met Archie Williams, who, at the age of 18, would become my husband of 52 years. Our marriage lasted until Archie's death in June 2004; and through our union, we produced two sons. I worked as a beautician from the basement of our home. Now retired, I maintain residency in Charlottesville, Virginia.
