This story is about an African American businessman who embarked on what he thought would be a promising business trip to Nigeria in 1978. Although that first business trip was unsuccessful, he would eventually make four more trips, with the hope the the next trip would bring him that elusive financial success. I am that African American businessman, and in the process of making these trips, I lived in the country for more than fourteen years. My experiences included living under military rule, a strained union, corruption, and other social problems. Despite threse difficulties, I had the opportunity of sharing the warm and friendly relationships with members of the three major ethnic groups (Hausa, Ibo, and Yoruba) and some of the over 250 minorities. After witnessing Nigeria's problems for more that fourteen years, it left me with a strong urge to write about their situation in a constructive way. My journey touched on various levels of the Nigerian society, and I would like to share these experiences with you in "It's Time" for A Country Called Nigeria.

From the Author:

Gladys Uloma (Good Home) Siller: Her love and support are priceless, and this journey would have been extremely difficult if not impossible without her. Like any relationship there will be tested times, but each time negative elements tried to enter our space, we would remind ourselves that getting the story out was more important than the negative distractions. Again. with the help of Uloma, I now feel confident that "It's Time" for A country Called Nigeria.

From the Back Cover:

Adding "It's Time" to my former title was overdue, because it did not display a sense of urgency, and it was to general for what I had to say... This revitalized edition has provided the opportunity to write about my Nigerian experiences and related issues in the manner that they deserve...Since I am traveling through life on a platform of goodwill that is supported by common sense, I think it's also time to express some brief comments on two of the related issues, and they are former U.S. Senator Barack Obama's support for Nigeria's debt relief  in 2006, and for his hope and change for A Country Called America as President!
