This cellular nutrition book, filled with numerous color illustrations and backed by countless medical references, depicts how key micronutrients regulate cell division, diferentiation, and function to help prevent birth defects, cancer, and disease procecess. It is dedicated to cytologists who screen microscopically for cancer, and also health professionals and laypersons interested in knowing what diseased cells look like under the microscope and what we can do to prevent their occurrence in our daily living. Part I contains (21) 4"x6" finely detailed color pencil cytology drawings accompanied by identifying criteria and discussions depicting: 1) The Cell and the nutrient/gene connection; 2) Folic Acid Deficiency (FAD) within cervical cells and the GI tract; 3) Opportunistic Viruses and Fungi (HPV, HSV, CMV, moluscum contagiosum, RSV, adenovirus, Candida, Blastomycoses, Pneumocystis, Coccidioides, Cryptococcus, and Histoplasmosis). These composite drawings display cellular features according to the Pap stain as well as special stains when required. Part II discusses how micronutrients activate key enzymes and genes, guarding the human genome from DNA mutations that can manifest into birth defects, cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders. Indepth information has been compiled on folic acid deficiency, linking it to inborn errors in metabolism, poor diets, and chronic hormone, drug, and alcohol use as well as HPV and cancer. Extensive research has been compiled on the antioxidants, zinc, vitamin A, C, and E as well.Suzanne next gives a thorough report on menopause and osteoporosis and also a complete history of estrogen use, underlining its serious risks. She concludes Part II with her "Color Diet" which promotes a diet rich in organic produce, whole grains, and wild caught fish. Part III contains (17) 8"x10" full color cytopathology illustrations for intense viewing. This revolutionary art and science book is a great addition to any medical school libra

About the Author:

Suzanne has been a fine artist & cytologist for over 25 yrs. Her cytology interests involve researching the biochemistry & cell changes associated with micronutrient deficiencies as well as those changes found in association with contraceptive & replacement hormones. Her research & cytology drawings have been used in cytology schools, on registry exams, in medical articles, on magazine covers, & by medical testing companies promoting HPV & folic acid awareness. Her fine art work spans her lifetime with several of her paintings appearing on book & magazine covers. Suzanne has a BS degree in health studies with a concentration in cytology & environmental studies from WMU. She also completed a 1 yr internship in cytology at William Beaumont Hospital. She became ASCP board certified in 1979, scoring 5th highest on the national registry exam among over 250 candidates after which she diligently worked for 10 yrs to help initiate and pass the CLIA '88 which created federal regulations mandating quality control procedures in the cytology lab to help prevent missed Pap smear diagnoses. After working in various cytology labs while researching nutrition as well as following the WHI studies & others, she predicted the widespread use of replacement hormones would finally plummet after being linked to heart disease & reproductive pathologies. She currently believes these same hormones used as contraceptives play a similar role in early onset heart disease and reproductive pathologies in younger women. Suzanne has completed masters work in environmental studies at MSU and in holistic health at WMU. She has been a member of the ASC, ASCP, ASCT, the Int'l Carotenoid Soc, and is a Research Collaborating Member of Natural Standard. Suzanne illustrates, consults & writes on cytology cases, especially in association with folic acid deficiency & HPV, & does nutrition consultations & educational presentations.

Brand New Book ***** Print on Demand *****.This beautifully illustrated and well-researched cytopathology and nutrition reference book was created specifically to show the how desease processes begin at the cellular level when key micronutrients such as folic acid are deficient. There are 38 large, detailed color drawings that depict: 1) the genetics of the cell- transcription factors, protein synthesis, nucleotides; 2) the cytology of normal cells; 3) folic acid deficiency--due to diet, hormones, radiation/chemotherapy, and atrophic gastritis/intestinal metaplasia; 4) and the cytology of opportunistic viruses and fungi--HPV, HSV, CMV, moluscum contagiosum, RSV, adenovirus, candida, blastomycoses, pneumocystis, coccidioides, cryptococcus, and histoplasmosis. Each colorful labeled drawing is accompanied by a discussion and an outline listing its unique features.
