Astonishing answers to unspoken questions revealed!

Mark O'Neal has keen insight into the various reasons why Little League Baseball has disappeared in many parts of the Chicagoland area as well as the entire nation. In "What Happened to Little League Baseball in the Inner-City," Mark O'Neal touches on a variety of provocative issues involving the decline of Black baseball players at all levels of competition. This book is geared toward the true fan of the game of baseball who is interested in seeing positive changes in the Black community. One of these positive changes is the resurrection of Little League Baseball competition in inner-city Chicago. Mark O'Neal feels an increase in Black kids' participation in Little League Baseball will equal more Black players at the collegiate and professional levels.

About the Author:

My name is Mark O'Neal, I'm married and a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University. I am a Chicago White Sox fan, and baseball is my passion. I played baseball as a youth for eleven years, and I researched some of the reasons why Little League Baseball has declined in my community as well as many other inner-city communities throughout the country. I also discovered some of the reasons why there has been a negative trend in the number of African-American players reaching the Majors. Chronicling these events has been a very rewarding experience, and my book titled "What Happened to Little League Baseball in the Inner City?" is the first of many more pursuits (both fiction and nonfiction) to come.
