"Finding Peace When Life's Manual No Longer Makes Sense" is the first of two books written by author Victoria Joyce. I shy away from 'labeling' it an autobiography, since it is so much more and so uniquely and powerfully written. Unlike other personal stories, the author, Victoria Joyce, shares her spiritual journey in a way that has the reader feeling as though they are traveling along the path right beside her. She openly shares what she has gone through-numerous back to back losses several times, betrayals, tremendous financial obstacles and even homelessness, more than once. Victoria Joyce also shares how she found herself barely healing and grieving from one loss only to find another tragedy awaiting her around the next corner. Trying to make sense out of confusion due to the insurmountable obstacles, she often found herself at odds with the world around her with no visible answers to the situations she was faced with. Through self evaluation, the help of therapists and spiritual leaders in a quest to discover what character flaws she had that kept leading her to face disaster after disaster, she realizes that the losses and changes in her life were largely not self inflicted, which only led her to even more questions without answers, all of which she vividly shares in her writing. Victoria Joyce also shares about overcoming alcoholism, bi-polar disorder, and being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lyme Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis, all chronic disabling illnesses, as well as having an almost three-year battle obtaining disability benefits. Her testimony alone is inspirational, but the main purpose for her writing and what she hopes will have the greatest impact, is how sharing her experience will help others overcome their own emotional and mental obstacles while on their own journey through life. The author candidly and eloquently expresses her pain, fear, and anger-even at God, frustration and confusion. Yet she is forced to turn that anger into acceptance in order to walk through the fires and valleys in her life to attain inner peace and comfort. Through God's grace, wisdom, omnipotent power and love, the author also learned to receive God's unconditional love and acceptance after a childhood of false beliefs, feelings of not fitting in, being inferior, feeling different and unloved. There are victories along the way as God takes her to a place where deep down in her heart she knows that no matter what happens in life, He will always be there and provide for her. This realization will hopefully encourage and inspire others who are suffering and walking through their own fires and valleys. The author has also inspirationally conveyed how much God loves us and wants the best for us. The author will also have you laughing along the way as you experience firsthand the peace and joy that she shares with you. It is recommended that you bring a highlighter along to make your copy of her story your own, highlighting what speaks to you along the way to aid in your own healing. Warning - hold on tight and fasten your seat belts. You are about to embark on one heck of a roller coaster journey. "Finding Peace When Life's Manual No Longer Makes Sense" is recommended reading for anyone who has suffered loss. You will find the journey continued in Victoria Joyce's second book - "Heart Tugs, Hugs & A Few Tug of Wars", also highly recommended reading.

I always knew my story would be written. It was just a matter of whenand how. Once the Lord revealed His plan for me, words started flowingand I spent hours typing on my little netbook while reclined on mycouch. The words are not my own, but divinely written through the HolySpirit. In fact, through the Holy Spirit I was able to recapture eachevent, emotion and thought as if each page was written at the exactpoint in time it actually happened. I am not about selling books. I amabout touching lives.
Every time I hear how my book(s) had touchedsomeone and aided in their own healing, it encourages me to do what Ican to reach more who are seeking that inner peace and have questionsabout their faith, wondering why certain things had to happen in theirlife. We are all seeking something, inner peace, contentment, joy, happiness in our lives. It is not about what we have it's about who weare. Body, Mind, Spirit/ Inspirational / Spiritual Growth
Inspiration for anyone who has suffered loss.
Unlike most personal stories, author Victoria Joyce's unique style of writing, has
you feeling as though she is right there beside you, having an intimate one-on-one
conversation. She so eloquently and candidly shares her battle with alcoholism,
going through numerous back to back losses, insurmountable financial struggles,
betrayals, homelessness, a bi-polar diagnosis and much more.
When Victoria Joyce suddenly becomes ill and finds out that she is suffering from
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, she endures an almost three-year battle obtaining
Social Security disability benefits, as she calls home wherever someone will take
her in. In her second book Heart Tugs, Hugs & A Few Tug of Wars, Victoria Joyce
recounts her struggles after being diagnosed with Lyme disease and Multiple
Sclerosis. She also openly shares how she had to come to grips with her new
limitations and "new normal" in order to regain inner peace and contentment.
Joyce's story is inspirational. But her main purpose for sharing her story, is to help
others better overcome their own mental, emotional and spiritual obstacles
while on their own journeys. Warning! Unlike most Christian authors, Victoria
Joyce does not shy away from tough issues. She touches on premarital sex,
feeling inferior and unloved, not fitting in, fears, tremendous amounts of
emotional pain, grieving so many losses she endured, frustrations,
gripping depression, a planned suicide, and anger, even at God.
There is victory, as God reveals His unconditional love, and reveals to the writer in
a unique and personal way, that she indeed is loved unconditionally and that He
will always provide for her.
You are encouraged to bring along a highlighter, marking what speaks to you,
as you travel on an adventure you will never forget, one that will change you
forever. You will also find yourself laughing along the way, as you experience
firsthand the peace and joy within that Victoria Joyce experiences. Hold on tight
and fasten your seat belts. You are about to embark on one heck of a ride. But
remember, you are not alone, and you too can find peace when your life's manual
no longer makes sense.
