This book was written from 1998-2000 throughout various cities including Amsterdam, Prague, Copenhagen, Zagreb, Paris, Berlin and New York. The collection of short passages contained between these covers moves with a sort of invention and spontaneity found in Kerouac's Mexico City Blues and Chopin's Preludes offset with an Eastern Zen-like flavor. The result is a macrocosm within a microcosm which is in essence, perhaps, the greatest aspect of what this art form we call poetry has to offer us. People, places, ideas and events find their way through abstract surreal landscapes with echoes of Philip K. Dick, Borges, Carlos Castaneda, Alan Ginsberg, and T.S. Elliot.

About the Author:

I was born in a country now called Croatia, grew up in the Bronx, and moved around quite a bit. Very early on I developed a love and passion for the arts, music in particular. I listened to lots of music from Elvis to Deep Purple to Wagner to Wes Montgomery, and way too much else to list here. Endless hours were spent practicing guitar, loudly, disturbing neighbors and wowing passers by in the street. It was a great time. Artists such as Van Gogh, Escher, Dali, Pollack, Warhol, and Haring inspired me. I found my literary god in the form of Philip K. Dick. More than a writer he was a prophet and visionary with an unmatched insight into the human condition and psyche. But hey, that's just my opinion. At some point in my mid twenties I managed to complete a doctorate in music composition, full scholarship, at University of Miami. I wrote and performed lots of music during this time from modern orchestral to heavy metal and had some of these works published and recorded. I am currently in the process of recording several c.d.'s worth of original music. I would like to try to do for the guitar today what Hendrix, Beck, Page and Clapton did for it during their prime in the 60's (I know, tall task).I've been a teacher for over twenty years, six of those in the NYC public school system, quite an experience. I've been involved in lots and lots of other venues and situations also. It's a long story, too much for here, and some of its better left untold so we'll save it for another time and a lot more space.I hope to have my first novel, Out of Order, forthcoming in 2008.
