This book expresses a variety of the author's emotions and thoughts. His desire is to embellish the world with smiling eyes as that of a child, even for a while. He defines the essence of a poet emerging out of his harmonious whole at the zenith of his thoughts. As a naturist, his mind weeps for the wild forest engraved below the sheet of the spread of water of the Dam. His mind anguishes for the deforestation on the slope of the Himalayan range. His thoughtful mind creates a theme for a dance drama creating life in stone. It is an elegance crystallized, dancing with the rhythm of nature and returning back as a lifeless stone again. The rainbow of the colors emerging in the sky of his mind against the backdrop of his emotions will definitely allure minds of all poetry lovers.

The author was born in 1935, in the tumultuous pre-independence era of the Indian Sub-Continent, at Nagpur, central India, to a Bengali family. His childhood felt the brunt of the agony of the period, and he spent his early life uncared, as an errant boy breathing with the vagarious then-existing time, amidst unbridled nature in its fragrance and color. It enriched him with the essence of philosophical thoughts, immense love for nature, and with yearning for creativity through his wonderfully lucid poems enshrined in his work, The Cascade: Collection of Poetry, encompassing the wide spectrum of his deep feelings.
