This is the five year memoir of author Nickolaus Pacione, the controversial horror author behind the novel GAME OVER, and now his testimony published and Legend Keeper, four short story collections, introduced The Iliad, the editor of the Tabloid Purposes series and the namesakes. Pacione was bullied all of his middle school and high school years -- then he was bullied by other publishers, some wanted him to get out of the business all together and the bullying went to some of Pacione's publishers too for publishing him.
This book had a false start in 2005 but it was written finally in the spring of 2007 after the hell one of his contributors took for publishing him with Naked Snake Press. The publishers took more flack than he did when he wrote this book and the publishers got punished by the bullies for running his work, a few of them didn't back down from the publishers -- the one publisher earned her lead spot in Tabloid Purposes 3. He had a washout from Issue 10 try to convince everyone he died and here he is writing new material as potent as An Eye In Shadows or The Pattern of Diagnosis.
Pacione had been predominately a horror writer but sometimes does science fiction and nonfiction where it's been published respectively over the years. He started out self-publishing but proved himself that he's able to hold his own with Brian Keene or even Kelan Patrick Burke. He's appeared with some of the best in the business. He was praised by Joe R. Lansdale with a story that was not yet published and this book is sort of a sister book to his first collection Collectives In A Forsaken Landscape, and the seed of this book was published in the pages of his third collection Dirty Black Winter.
This book joined his namesakes and his first collection in the library of The Poe Museum -- he's working on an anthology that is also a sister book to this book and to his magazine issues where he had The Pattern of Diagnosis and Apt. #2W included in them. The projects that came as a direct result of An Eye In Shadows were the namesakes -- namely A Library Of Unknown Horrors then the short story Damnation Observes This book is now back in print with the covers that are based on the original 2008 version. He was ousted from Lulu.com on a lie and got everything back though as he pulled out the painting of Obama burning the Constitution as a parting shot.
All or his written catalog as the books as solo author are back online and got five of his nine anthologies returned too. Legend Keeper is one of his most punishing longer works and his new collection Collectives In A Forsaken Metascape he was sniping at classmates over what they pulled on his roster.
