About the Author:

The painful details of Jesus's death from the core of my text, and the eventual symbolism that the cross comes to hold makes the rugged cross a representation of redemption and hope that is known to all Christians. By personifying the title character in Old Rugged: How the Tree Became the Cross, I have endeavored to use the events of Christ's sacrifice so the material may add to overall impact of the book.
