About the Author:
Ryan Watkins, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Educational Technology Leadership Program at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Watkins has also been a visiting researcher with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and has served as vice president representing the United States in the Inter-American Distance Education Consortium (CREAD). Besides the E-Learning Companion, Dr. Watkins has authored seven additional books, including 75 E-Learning Activities: Making Online Courses More Interactive (Wiley/Jossey-Bass, 2005); A Guide to Assessing Needs: Tools for collecting information, making decisions, and achieving development results (World Bank, 2012); and The Handbook of Improving Performance in the Workplace - Selecting and Implementing Performance Interventions (Wiley/Jossey-Bass, 2009).
