David L. Nichols earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Masters and Doctor of Ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he served as a member of the administration for many years. He is now pastor of the First Baptist Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. His wife, Dr. Linnea Berg, is the executive director of Friendship House, a faith-based social service agency in Hamtramck, Michigan. His children, Joshua and Amanda, are volunteer leaders in Campus Life (Youth for Christ) in Downers Grove, Illinois.
