Will Ester give up on her dreams when she is teased and faces rejection for using her unique abilities, or will wise counsel encourage her to press on? If Ester gives up, the world may never know one of its most fabled characters, the Easter Bunny. The story line is original, delivers an excellent message, and has all the makings of an Easter classic. The book includes a Parent/Teacher Guide designed for parents and teachers to talk with children about overcoming obstacles and reaching for one's dreams. Children of all ages will feel a strong connection with Ester. The text and message is best suited for readers ages 7-9 as well as parents and teachers reading to preschoolers through 4th graders.

Matt Gabriel Bench lives in Lake Stevens Washington with his wife Sandy. They have been happily married for 34+ years. They have three children, Ethan, Tyler, and Holly and three grandchildren. Gabriel has had a heart for children throughout his life. As a youth he had the reputation of protecting vulnerable youth from being bullied. As a young adult he worked in youth programs where he focused on venues that nurtured youth’s well being and healthy development. Through his adult years, he continues to prioritize his community involvement towards efforts that nurture and encourage youth in positive ways. He serves on the Snohomish County Children’s Commission; teaches middle school aged youth at The Lake Church; coached youth sports for several years where he was dedicated to placing the well being of the youth above the numbers on the scoreboard; and initiated efforts to recognize youth for their positive contributions and “Good Samaritan” like treatment of vulnerable students through community recognition events and a High School scholarship. Gabriel’s interest in writing is an extension of his interest in reaching out to youth to deliver messages that will teach, encourage, and inspire.
