This Paperblanks Exotic Marquetry journal is inspired by an 18th-century cabinet featuring inlaid mother-of-pearl panels taken from an earlier piece. Named for French cabinetmaker André-Charles Boulle, the style of “boulle” marquetry or “tarsia a incastro” involves applying thin decorative surface veneers onto solid wood and is recreated on our Mother-of-Pearl notebook.
