About the Author
A professional writer and performer based in New York, Mary Fons co-hosts the nationally-airing PBS program "Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting" along with her mom, famed quilter and educator Marianne Fons. In 2010, Mary began hosting Quilty, an online show offered weekly on QNNtv.com. In 2012, Mary became editor of Quilty magazine. I get to discover new things-and I discovered you! First, I filled my cart with the items on my list. Then I went over to the magazines, straight to the craft section. I've been scrapbooking and crafting for years-I am a newbie quilter. My obses- sion began in October. I made a Christmas quilt. I was sure it would be totally wonky, but I figured if it was for Christmas, I would only have to take it out once a year. Well, it stayed on my couch until May. It was way too much work for me to fold that puppy up and pack it away for ten months. The addiction begins.
