About the Author

Nick Dyer is a writer, designer, and former middle school teacher from St. Paul, Minnesota. He was inspired by recent events in his hometown and around the world to write this story about how caring for the littlest of things, the smallest of us, is so important. He lives in a little white house near the Mississippi River with his wife and three children. This is Nick's debut picture book.

Kelly Pousette is an illustrator and storyteller. She fell in love with this story and couldn't wait to illustrate it. It is her debut picture book as well. Kelly is from the west coast of British Columbia but currently resides in northern British Columbia with her husband and very large dog Clovis.
