Space Bull is the humorous story of Captain Bob and his followers, the Fortunate Forty, who embark on a journey to enlightenment by drinking cyanide cocktails and then launching themselves into space by blowing themselves up. In space their bodies are reassembled and picked up by an alien spaceship. Accidentally going along for the ride is Jimmy, a shoe salesman, who is launched into space with the Fortunate Forty while he is making a shoe delivery. Also onboard the spaceship is a couple of talking cows that the aliens hope to use to start a hamburger business back on their planet. Once onboard the spaceship things start to go wrong. The aliens are not the friendly guides Captain Bob thought they would be. Their only interest in the Fortunate Forty is as specimens to be studied and then destroyed. Instead of a journey to enlightenment, the travelers find themselves hurtling deeper and deeper into chaos, forcing all of them to do whatever it takes to survive.
