Bethany Joy Miller (December, 1993) was born in England and, after having lived in the Philippines for seven years has settled in Belgium, together with her sister, two brothers and parents. There she will probably stay for the rest of her teenage years. Follow Your Toes is her first novel and NaNoWriMo project. She has always had an interest in writing and has several short stories and many beginnings of novels which she regrets never having completed. She has also written poems and songs, but prefers to keep them private. Alongside writing she loves drama, photography and music. She plays the organ and (drama lessons aside) makes home films which she and her friends also edit and write scripts for. One day she hopes to be a good (though not necessarily well-known) author and organist. Her dream in life is to be happily married, have five children (perhaps adopt some as well), have a little farm and lots of time to write. She wishes to live till an old age, be satisfied with her life and leave with a smile on her face. Sophie Bauerschmidt-Sweeney (March, 1995) is a ninth grader at Baltimore School for the Arts. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her parents, brothers, and dog, where she spends a lot of time writing and drawing. Bethany Joy Miller and Sophie Bauerschmidt-Sweeney are long distance pen pals and have been writing letters to one another since 2004. They have made two short films during the brief times they've been able to see one another: Tea without the Biscuits and Murders in Rome (in production). They are also busy co-writing a story about a girl called Jane. They hope to write, and perhaps film, more together in the future.
