About the Author:

Maggie Helen Harries has written this autobiographical novel of enchantment. Perhaps In God's Lifetime! is a unique tale of a young girl attempting to scale every challenge. At 3 years of age she is hit by a car and sustains no injury. Read about that in the first chapter. Maggie, a gifted child, loves to play the piano, care for her 'baby' Ethan, and dreams of empowering people to become self-sufficient! During her young life, the author studied modeling with Ada Duckett, who ultimately became the coach for the "Miss Texas" pageants. Maggie graduated from Lamar University and commenced teaching young history and English students. She taught secondary students in Corpus Christi and Port Arthur. She is listed in Who's Who in Texas Educators as well as being a published poet and avid photographer. Maggie, an accomplished copywriter, writes compelling copy attracting visitors to her own and others' websites. She studied with American Artists and Writers Institute and is a Graduate Member of AWAI. Maggie's first book entitled, Eating Today's Bread While Still Paying For Yesterday's, concerns an incident which gained worldwide attention in the locale of a small East Texas town. The book gives a true view into the small town and its residents who were descended upon by worldwide media spotlighting a heinous act of violence. The town square became the meeting place for the prayer rally in order to establish peace, harmony, and reconciliation for the town population in danger of the deadly spark of racism. Led by the city leaders and pastors, the residents walked confidently forward into mastery over evil. The book illustrates how this town came to grips with reality by searching inside themselves for compassionate hearts. Read about Maggie's Near Death Experience! PERHAPS IN GOD'S LIFETIME!
