White Monsoon is the code name used by Libyan terrorists around 1991 for a plot to flood the United States with strong, bargain-basement-priced heroin. Posing as members of the International Red Cross, they travel from Libya to India's legal Opium & Alkaloid Works and the largest opium vat in the world. A riveting drama of mystery and suspense, life and death, good and evil -- a frightening scenario too close to reality to leave the reader complacent, this technothriller packs a timely wallop when, in real life, Afghanistan produced well over 1,000 tons of illegal opium in 1991 surpassing Burma; and Columbia has countless new, fast growing poppy fields.

My parents read to me a lot. The images from those early experiences forged an inquisitive, inventive mind. I read all of the Hardy Boy books by the end of third grade and then my folks introduced me to masterful storytellers such as Alistair MacLean, Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy. I would peg the style of the White Monsoon Trilogy somewhere between Ludlum and Clancy. Scott grew up in Colorado. Got a BS in Psychology from Colorado State University, attended New South Wales University in Sydney, Australia. He always took writing courses and has completed four novels, a children's novel, a young adult summer novel and the two current White Monsoon titles, Morphine Base and Pure Heroin. He is currently working on the third book in the trilogy. Scott has written a screenplay (Registration #1268933, Writers Guild of America, West, Inc.) for each book. Scott resides in Sandy, Utah, with his wife and her two youngest of five. Scott's daughter is a CPA in Denver and his son is attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA.
