Many years ago I used to sit with my grandmother as she played many of the following songs on her piano in England. They come from a time long before the age of the radio, cinema and television, when the Music Hall existed as the main form of family entertainment. The words are very reminiscent of this period and I feel that they need to be recorded for posterity so that they are not lost in the sands of time, This is the primary reason that I have created the following volume, and In hope that readers will enjoy viewing them once more, especially those that may have lived throughout this period or beeen close to those who had.
