Found passed out drunk in a homeless shelter, Doug Donnelly is a blond haired, blue-eyed, multi-millionaire recovering alcoholic brought in by kindly old Joe White to run Beacon - his Madison, Wisconsin based IT consulting company. Unfortunately, Doug's life is one of of lies and deceptions which eventually comes crashing down on both him and of all of Beacon's employees, investors and customers. Inspired by actual events, Be.A.Con is a fascinating and frequently humorous tale of a con artist in action and the shocking revelation of the root of his troubles. As noted by Doug's chief financial officer, "The company's name was Beacon, but I didn't realize until it was too late what the "Con" really was."
