Commander Shenq is the Pharaoh's right-hand man, his shadow, his protector. But when a shadow-hunter kills his father on the battlefield, Shenq must confront the opposing forces that threaten to destroy Egypt. Pharaoh Kheper-Re, a victim of nightmares and mistrust, hides himself in the palace to avoid the howling of the night jackal. Knowing there is treachery and imminent assassination, he summons Commander Shenq to guard the palace. Shenq brings with him a unique bodyguard from Kush and a Hebrew prophet whose dream interpretations are legendary. With revenge in his heart, Shenq is determined to outwit the occult powers of the assassin and protect the Pharaoh, and the people of Egypt.

Based on meticulous research, Chasing Pharaohs is a fascinating portrait of 18th Dynasty Egypt during the time of Thutmose II seen through the eyes of three warriors.

From the Author:

CMT STIBBE lives in New Mexico, USA. She has traveled extensively to many archaeological sites all over the world. Her experiences have motivated her to write historical fiction and continue to provide inspiration for subsequent novels. You can visit her at cmtstibbe.com.

About the Author:

CMTStibbe, originally from Britain, now lives in New Mexico, USA. Her background includes 32 years as an Executive Assistant to two presidents and a Saudi Arabian Prince. The author spent some years in Hong Kong, traveling the Far East, Macau and the Philippines. Having latterly worked in London, Cyprus and the United States, she decided the rigors of full-time employment stifled a passion to write. Her novels evoke perseverence and overcoming tremendous trials, and she is not afraid to dabble in the grittier side of spiritual warfare.

The author's adoptive father, P. G. Stibbe, wrote Return Via Rangoon, an account as a young Chindit of his imprisonment by the Japanese in WWII. He instilled in the author the importance of reading literature from a young age, and he was a friend of C. S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia).

The author's twin brother, Mark Stibbe, has written many books including From Orphans to Heirs, a book on spiritual adoption and latterly a series of Historical Fiction novels soon to be published.

MISSION: Be excellent at what you do and you will stand before kings.
