Death Was The Tenth Card is a modern day Cinderella story. The heroine, Josie, leaves an unhappy seven year relationship with the father of her child and sets out to make her own way in the world using the only skill she has, that of Tarot reading. Never having been on her own, Josie opens her Tarot shop with great concern as to whether she can succeed. Danny, the cop on the beat, is attracted to her shop, not out of interest in Tarot, but because the former tenant is in prison for possession of cocaine and suspected of being a dealer. Danny and his associate, Detective Elgin, are both convinced the cocaine trade continues. Is Josie a part of the drug ring?
