There are seven species of sea turtles that grace our planet. They have co-existed for millions of years with land and sea dwellers. We as humans have created difficulties for the survival of the sea turtles. Trash, boat propellors, changing their habitat and now the oil spills have landed many sea turtles in our marine hospitals. Sick and hurt turtles are a sad thing and we need to educate ourselves about the lives and survival of these beautiful, large 'ambassadors of the sea'. It would be a tragedy if, by our faults, these turtles are driven to extinction.
