About the Author

In fifth grade Diane was introduced to haiku poetry. She has become inspired to revisit its simple, challenging format again as an adult. Diane has always loved animals, and started pet sitting at age 10. After working at many other jobs, Diane is currently is a full time pet sitter with a clientele on the Monterey Peninsula. She does freelance photography and painted portraits of pets and their people. Diane lives in Monterey, California, with a flock of cockatiels and a blue-headed pionus parrot. Her "own" cats belong to her pet sitting clients, except for a brief period when her Australian Shepherd helped her raise a litter of 4 orphaned kittens!
