About the Author:

Charlene Brisson, MAPC has over 25 years of global marketing and communications experience out of six countries - Canada, U.S., Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and The Philippines. She started her career in media (radio, newspaper and magazines) and has worked with dozens of online and offline entrepreneur-driven companies and helped hundreds of small business start-ups. A few highlights include 1) director of sales and marketing for T. Harv Eker and Peak Potentials Training where she led a winning team to consistently fill event rooms with 800-1,500 people across North America in one of the most challenging economies in history with a minimal online budget and almost no traditional media 2) as program manager of CanWest Global's Raise-a-Reader campaign, Charlene launched it in nine cities over a record time of 3 months, raising $1M for children's literacy programs 3) as the director of event solutions for TELUS, Charlene leveraged the famous TELUS hippo ad campaign into a fundraising promotion raising $250k for the Vancouver and Calgary Zoos by securing and executing $500k in free TV, newspaper, internet promotion and in-store promotion campaign. Charlene has created and managed hundreds of integrated online and offline marketing campaigns. In fact, the majority of the 148 profiles were written from Charlene's direct hands-on campaign experience. She knows first-hand what the pros and cons are, because she's lived them.
