From the Inside Flap:

New Orleans: America's most romantic city.

Thousands travel to New Orleans every year to marry in the French Quarter, experiencing internationally famed music and world class culinary excellence.

Food, music, romance - what New Orleans is all about.

Most restaurants start as business deals. Of the four restaurants named the "Grande Dames of Creole Cuisine," only one, Broussard's, began as a love story. Handsome Joseph Broussard of Loreauville, Louisiana, a distinguished Parisian-trained chef and a relative of the Acadian military leader Joseph Broussard dit "Beausoleil," met the beautiful Rosalie Borrello and married her in St. Louis Cathedral, steps away from their reception at the historic Borrello Mansion. The Borrello Mansion at 819 Rue Conti was built in 1837 as part of the nationally recognized Hermann-Grima House complex. Gifted with the Borrello Mansion as a wedding present, Joseph and Rosalie founded Broussard's in 1920. Extensively renovated in the 1970s by New Orleans most respected historic restoration architect Samuel A. Wilson and historic restoration interior designer Charles Gresham under the auspices of legendary restaurateur Joseph Segretto, Broussard's is now operated by multiple generations of the European-trained, New Orleans-based Preuss family.

In New Orleans, America's most romantic city, is Broussard's, New Orleans' most romantic restaurant.

This is the new Broussard's, paying homage to the 19th century while embracing the 21st, always amplifying the best of both as it celebrates 100 years in 2020.

A leader in classic New Orleans cuisine, Broussard's continually recreates the Creole tradition, merging the time-honored with contemporary food trends to create a new and exciting nationally-recognized cuisine. Broussard's created the concept of Custom Designed Original Event Recipes for weddings and other special events, a concept sweeping the industry.
Awarded 4 stars by the Mobile Guide, Broussard's is the winner of the prestigious Ivy Award of Distinction, numerous DiRoNa Awards of Excellence, La Chane des Rtisseurs, Travel Holiday Magazine's Fine Dining Award, Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame Legend Award, the Cornell Dining Award, and every other major culinary award in the United J States. Broussard's Gunter Preuss is one of the original chefs on the PBS series Great Chefs of New Orleans, the seminal program and catalyst for the explosion of food programming now available in all media formats.

A feast for the palate, Broussard's is a feast for the eyes as well. Experience the priceless Reinike murals, the antique Venetian mask collection, the one of a kind hand-crafted flamb station, the antique Sicilian cart tagre, and the oldest wisteria in the French Quarter, located in the courtyard voted most beautiful in the French Quarter. Explore the tastes, sounds, and sights of romance at Broussard's of New Orleans.
