9781456330057: Cross Country: Small Details with Big Impact (Greek Edition)

In this book I have collected personal explanations to questions raised in my mind after 20 years of free flying. I have experienced flying with paragliders, paramotors, gliders, motor gliders, airplanes and hang glider trikes and collected almost 2.500 flying hours in different places and under different conditions. From all these flying vehicles, the simplest the cheapest and the easiest to start is paragliding, but the performance is quite bad comparing to all other gliding equipment and other disadvantages also, like limited safety, which you will have to pay, while increasing performance. Therefore if you want to achieve better flights, it is important to keep studying, keep flying and increasing your performance in skills and decisions during the flight. There are many little details that all combine to a total performance. If you loose some details, it is very easy to destroy the efficiency of your flying, to make a bad energy management, and finally to achieve a short flight. Small details create big differences, and you have to think a lot to maximize your flight with a paraglider. Reaching knowledge important for the Cross Country skills, adding experience in handling and strategic decisions, and achieving small target steps in every flight, represent a never ending excitement sport, with unlimited evolution in being attached to it for life.
