About the Author

It’s fascinating to me that even before he created his spectacular five piece masterpiece called Capolavori, before the big art shows, in fact, even before people started buying his art, Buddy Sears wrote this book. He knew his dreams would come true on a large scale, and he told us all how it would happen before it ever did. What I find intriguing is hearing his thoughts about dreams coming true, before it happened. So many books are written after people accomplish things and don’t really grasp ideas that need to be addressed in the beginning. Let me tell you a little about Buddy Sears. In 2005, Buddy was chosen as one of three resident artists at Arts Ensemble International (AEI). His art is both compelling and diverse. A Sears painting is distinctively textured and brilliantly executed. In addition to AEI, Buddy displays over 60 individual paintings and sculptures in corporate buildings and private estates. There are 42 large works of his art and sculpture on display in public places alone. This extensive amount of art does not include private collections or the collection of his art displayed at the Arts Ensemble International Gallery. He paints vivid abstract and cubism, along with a unique combination of abstract realism, or surrealism. Buddy’s credits are extensive and began in 1979 with Tampa Bay Magazine as the youngest city magazine Art Director. Now, his audience is worldwide. In 2008 he was chosen by the staff of ART.com as one of the 52 top rising artists in the world and was a featured artist. His media followings range from press and art feature publications to USA Today for his innovation in computer art. Buddy Sears’ art shows in the past two-years total seven and have held art lovers captivated during standing room only events. He was sponsored by Merrill Lynch and various law firms. Sears founded and leads two international art groups for the study of Corporate Art and Cubism that currently boasts over 400 accepted and listed artists from around the world; credited professionals as well as a few select art students. His articles on the nature of art and the business of art have been quoted in trade magazines and discussed in a variety of blogs and online journals by artists and admirers alike. Buddy continues to raise the bar of excellence in art and we are honored to work with Buddy in his artistic endeavors. Jane Waters CEO, Arts Ensemble International
