The world is a crazy place so if you are going to live life you need to see the big picture. Those who do not see and grasp the big picture view of life are doomed to misery without an anchor. The world is complex and scary; there is fear and suspicion intertwined in relationships. Religion and its antics are discouraging, and racial injustice is not just an American problem it is a world problem. As a matter of fact racism and class are the most prevailing forces driving the world toward Armageddon. The great tribulation period is shaping up right before our eyes and few if any see it. Do you hear the dog whistle?

About the Author:
For as long as I can remember, even as a child growing up in an environment of apartheid in Louisiana, I have always had a loving trust in God. I recognized early in life that I was unique in my dependence on God as I observed that most people displayed only a casual regard for spiritual things. I believe that because I was raised as a Christian but my family was not religious has contributed to the development of my nontraditional perspective on religion. Though my family regularly attended Church, nobody in my family held any positions in the Church. My dad was not a preacher or deacon but amazingly he somehow became recognized by religious leaders, and others in the community and across the state as a wise discerner of the scriptures. I cannot describe what essence exuded from him to cause others to look at him in that regard nor can I explain how others have come to regard me in a similar fashion. I first noticed this simalarity on or around December 1995 while I was a student in my Sunday school class. Our Sunday school teacher announced that he would soon relinquish his position as our Sunday School Teacher. He then said that he did not know who would replace him and immediately members of the class began to recommend me as the new teacher. Our Church had guidelines regarding who could be a teacher and I had not previously shown any interest in becoming a teacher; so naturally when it was brought to the pastor's attention he said that I was not qualified. Then a light campaign of sorts by our teacher and other class members was initiated to petition the pastor to install me as the new teacher. This effort culminated in a class member standing up before the church congregation during an annual church meeting making an official request that I be recognized as that class' Sunday School Teacher. I was later informed by our Sunday School Teacher that I had been accepted as the replacement teacher for that class.
