Hi. My name is Bob Kunz. Photography is my first love. I've been taking pictures since childhood, starting with a box camera. While in the service I took correspondence courses relating to photography. After my discharge I went to Chicago to a photography school to learn more about my craft. I worked in a color lab soon after as a supervisor. Isn't it strange? A photographer who is slightly color blind. Shortly afterward I started working in photographic studios doing advertising illustrations. This continued for the remainder of my working career. During this time I also went to the Cranbrook Institute of Arts for their courses. Now, at this juncture of my retirement, I am involved in photo shows and the like. This keeps me practicing my profession. And, of course, my current interest in having the Loon Picture Book published is a very exciting project. What's next? Maybe a book with my many varied mushroom photos.

The Loon Picture Book. That's fine. But what the heck is Gavia Immer? it's not my name. It simply means Common Loon. Gavia Immer is the latin name for Common Loon. I hope this dispells the confusion about the name of Gavia Immer.
