LaVina Vanorny-Barcus grew up on an Iowa family farm enjoying all of the different animals that were raised there. She is also the Mother of two daughters and owned a daycare center and preschool. An important goal for the teachers at her center was to create an atmoshere for children to gain confidence in their abilities and to appreciate each other for their differences.
