He has appeared on CBS Today, on CSPAN's DeToqueville in America series, and on local cable television. Dr. Silchester also served for many years on New York State's Twentieth Congressional District's advisory committees on the environment and science and technology. He is listed in Who's Who in Science and Engineering and has been a member of Mensa.
