About the Author:

GILDA MIRÓS author. Puerto Rican Gilda Mirós has starred in film, theatre and television in Mexico, Puerto Rico and North America. Her live radio programs were transmitted from Latin America and Spain. She narrated audio guides for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY. Produced and narrated a documentary during the Viet Nam war. Mirós was the first Latina radio personality with a daily four hour show, via satellite between Miami, Los Angeles and New York. On multiple occasions she narrated "The Puerto Rican Day Parade" for television in English and Spanish; she wrote columns for "Imagen" NY and "Selecta" magazines, Miami. As entrepreneur, she produced the 65 Anniversary of the Cuban Sonora Matancera with Celia Cruz and costars, at Carnegie Hall and Central Park in NYC. Mirós was awarded "The Medal of the Virgin of the Providence" by The Catholic Archdiocese of NYC and awarded several times by the "ACE" in NYC; awarded the "Paoli" and "Agueybaná", Puerto Rico. She was spokesperson for the "March of Dimes" and "The Eye Bank of NY. Dubbed "Mother Angelica Live" EWTN Globally.
