This mini-novel (novelina?) tells of how Turakina's craziest rock band The Bing Turkby Ensemble set off for a routine gig in Napier, only to be drawn into a maelstrom of stolen cash, ruthless henchmen and magical powers. When the band accept an offer that's too good to be true, they unwittingly involve themselves in a war between two of New Zealand's most dangerous crime bosses, Fats Eddie and Ronnie Runco. They eventually avail themselves of arcane powers to bring the whole mess to an end, trying to pay back stolen loot, while still making it to gigs on time.

About the Author:

Bing Turkby is a Knight of the Order of Xanthros, and a Walrus Polisher First Class. Master of Sleipnir the eight-legged horse, owner and inventor of the Backless Special guitar, he still finds time to write silly stories on his computer. When he isn't performing great deeds of derring-do, he can often be found playing rather loud guitar with The Bing Turkby Ensemble. He lives in Papaioea (Palmerston North), New Zealand, though his ancestral seat is located in the Duchy of Turakina.
