The idea for this book came about over a number of years. I've always loved grilling steak on the BBQ but, I found that my skill at the grill was at best, hit and miss. Sometimes I'd cook a great steak, other-times it would be over-done or not done enough. Once I decided to teach myself a method for cooking The Perfect Steak, the whole thing took over my life and became an all consuming passion.
I spent hours a day and months at a time standing beside my BBQ with a timer in one hand and a temperature gauge in the other checking, testing and rechecking until I finally got it right.This book is the result of the hundreds (maybe a thousand, I lost count ages ago) of steaks I cooked and I've included all the tips and tricks I learned along the way.
