William J. Dotinga thought himself destined to be “always writing, never a writer” until he started a short story idea he’d had for a decade—and it turned into a novel. That novel is DEVIANT ZERO, released by CreateSpace in April 2012. William also self-published a small collection of short exercises he wrote during the Deviant Zero process. FLASHES IN THE DARK is available as an e-book at Amazon.com. William is a reporter for a news service that covers the civil justice system in the United States and Europe. He is also working on a second novel, ALL SHE LEFT BEHIND, which is slated for release in 2013. He spends his free time gardening and reading, and is the current board president of a local PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) chapter. William lives in California with his partner, Jahir, and their black Lab puppy Verona.
