9781466478602: The Red Serpent

It was Jean Marchaud’s dogged persistence that got him into trouble more than any other trait. Persistence turns into obsession when his world is shattered by unspeakable tragedy, his sense of well-being shaken to the core by unexplained events and a force so invasive it has tainted every level of government, business, and religion worldwide. Now a race to stop the bloodletting begins. In bizarre quirks of fate, Marchaud’s association with an old Interpol cohort, an alluring philologist, an ex-Mossad rabbi, and a powerful Jewish family becomes the mission to unravel a triad of ancient enigmas. Together they must battle their way through Europe, outwit assassins, and defend against overwhelming foes. One will survive an actual death experience; most will make it back... But can they convince nations to aid them in their quest? What happens if they run out of time? And how do they mastermind the phenomenon that can change civilization forever?

About the Author:

Now retired from the corporate world, Larry has held positions with several Fortune 500 companies and served as CEO of his own media marketing group. Earlier, he served in the US Navy as an air traffic controller and trained as a finger print analyst with the FBI. Always an avid reader and historian, one of Larry’s favorite anecdotes revolves around a chance meeting with John Steinbeck in a Key West bar. Larry and his wife divide their time between Lewes, Delaware, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where Larry is an active Thirty-Second-Degree Mason and member of the Pennsylvania Lodge of Research as well as the Correspondence Circle of the Quatuor Coronati Lodge of Research of England. They both enjoy travel, including regular trips to the South of France. He is presently working on his second and third novels.

Review:

The Red Serpent -  When I started reading the story I was gripped by a relentless pace, an intriguing plot, a five-thousand year old struggle waged by the Brotherhood of the Snake, a companion scroll leading to another dimension ... I only stopped reading because I must get some sleep, work tomorrow.
Pia (Course of Mirrors)

The Red Serpent is a rapid fire, almost staccato, no-holds barred thriller.
Short, intense chapters keep the pace and flow enticingly sharp, the characters are well defined and the dialogue credible. An exciting read.  Robert Davidson. The Tuzla Run
