They are so very different, the rough mountain man and the insolent teenager. They share almost nothing in common socially, religiously, ethnically. But two horrible family secrets that they awkwardly divulge to each other brings them to a point of mutual respect and a realization of what they must now do together. What they choose to do will change both of their lives forever. In The Other Side of Someday, the author has created a sobering novel about a man living with the haunting memories of sexual abuse by his father. It begins on the “someday” that he hoped would eventually come, the day that the abuse ends. Or so he thinks. Now in his thirties and still suffering from shame and guilt inflicted by another, John has remained a loner, never able to establish meaningful relationships with anyone. Following a nearly-fatal accident and through a chance encounter with a troubled teenager, John learns that his tormented childhood was not unique. He finally finds a connection to someone and at least a first step in healing from the scars of the past. The Other Side of Someday deals boldly with what truly is right and wrong. Is religion the answer? Or is religion the problem? The reader must decide and will think about this story long after putting the book down. -- Note from the author: For a synopsis and more information about the book, visit the web site -- http://theothersideofsomeday.com
