Christen Cooper is a professional photographer and graphic artist. Over the years, through her son’s involvement in their local library, Christen fell in love with children’s books. Her inspiration for her first children’s book ‘Marvin’s Big Adventure A Dream Come True’ came from her son’s favorite cuddly buddy Marvin the monkey. Using her love for photography and illustration, and her son’s creative play time with Marvin, the idea for a children’s book grew. Using a character voice for Marvin as a way to bring him to life and also connect with her son at an early age spurred the idea and helped form Marvin’s fun adventurous spirit. Marvin is a dreamer but through it all at the end of the day it is Marvin that Jacob asks for before he goes to bed. The moral of the story is dreaming big is fun and exciting but having someone that loves you is the greatest joy of all. Christen Cooper lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and son and their furry friends Tuxedo their dog and BooBoo their bratty kitty.
