Thomas Cain is an investigative reporter based in New York City. At the news of a devastating loss, he requests a risky overseas story, and becomes ensnared in a civil war raked with terror. Camilla Behn, Cam for short, is not an easy person to work with. Her disposition is rough, her motives at times questionable, and she’s anything but a team player. Though to be fair, her job is not exactly a 9-to-5. INK, the low-level, often overlooked government division Cam works for has a very specific objective: to locate and potentially rescue wrongfully imprisoned journalists overseas. Her latest orders, which take her to Europe’s dark, lesser-known underground, have come with a new warning from her boss, and a much deeper threat from another.
