In the early 1980s, Peters and Waterman in the book named "IN SEARCH OF EXCELLENT" have investigated the reasons for success of American successful companies. Their research showed that all successful companies had emphasized on 8 same factors which lead them to success, and this claim was raised that if other companies also have these 8 factors, they will achieve success. This research had significant impact on the management literature, and drawn the attention of other researchers to key success factors of organization. The present study aims to identify and prioritize the Key Success Factors (KSFs) of importers, in Iranian ceramics industry. The different models of Key Success Factors from previous researcher have been studied, and according to local conditions of Iranian ceramics importers, a new model of KSFs of importers has been presented in this research results. It’s a combination of some models and Iranian ceramics industry experts’ opinions. We have reviewed the researches done in the past by other researchers and also had some interviews by experts active in Iranian ceramics industry and importers, and concluded a new KSFs model for importers. This research concluded eleven critical ceramic importers in five main areas are: 1. marketing, 2. distribution, 3. individual skills, 4. organization capabilities, and 5. organization financial situation, respectively, are located in: 1. appropriate physical place of organization, 2. access to initial capital, 3. identifying competitors competencies and markets’ regulations, 4. familiarity with the world ceramics market and close interaction with it, 5. import of products that do not have domestic production, 6. familiarity with consumers and market interests, 7. business skills, 8. the ability of appropriate investment and proper cash flow, 9. qualifications and experience of management, 10. attract and hire the right and qualified personnel, and 11. precise warehouse keeping and accurate scheduling of orders. This model is a combination of Thompson and Strickland (2001), Piers and Robinson (1997), Mike Moon (2000) and Mike Morison (2008) models and Iranian ceramics importers experts’ opinions.
